New Rampage IV no power!

Hi All
I've just bought all net set of components to build my new PC

i7 3930k
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
32gb [8 x 4gb] G.Skill F3-14900CL9D 1.5v
PSU Coolermaster Silent Hybrid Pro 1050w
Asus Radeon 7970
Among others -SSD- New case etc

Problem:
I built my new system on a brand new Coolermaster Cosmos II case, everything was smooth, however when I clicked power button it did not start.
I said OK i forgot something but just to make sure I started the new pc by the START button on the mobo. PC booted up nicely.
After checking the flex coming from the top of the case to the power sw of the motherboard I had to get in touch with Coolermaster as the flex was not working.
I said fine, I'll start installing windows and use the computer with the start switch from the mobo. I finish building my case, connect the power from the wall to the PSU and something strange happened - The PSU fan started to spin for 1 second, motherboard ON with then off. Strangest of all is that the START button on the motherboard is ON but it does not start.

I removed the mobo from the case to discard any potential circuit error and the problem still continues. You can see the behavior on two videos I made

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p83TabqvEvI

Troubleshooting performed:
All steps here http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/foru [...] o-problems
Removed everything just leaving power and still same behavior
Tested different memory, different PSU still the same
Resetting CMOS
Trying to boot with 24 pin only leaving 4-pin/4-pin unplugged to discard VRM issues, still same!
I assume a DOA on the mobo, but *** can be such bad luck?

Since Im out of ideas I'd like to ask for your opinion

Thanks!

I have same problem. New R4F, Core i7-3820, Asus 7970 graphics, 16 GB Patriot Viper Extreme, Seasonic 650 W - the computer won´t start. Only red LED under the MB (for effect), BIOS 1/BIOS 2 LED and start/reset button ligths. When i press start button nothing happens (no fan, no beep).

Now I don´t know what to RMA - motherboard or CPU?

ownerpredator, can not open your links...

First, be sure that all power connectors all connected properly - both the 24 pin mobo power and the 4+4 pin CPU power.

If you have this, could you please provide the Q-code which appears when the system is stop booting?

Thanks for reply, here are the correct links from youtube

24 pin and 4+4 are connected properly, as soon as I switch on the PSU chipset fan starts to spin, START switch is on but it does not start.

Code that I see is 14, but very quickly and then nothing else.

I assume is failing the pre-check with the CPU, but i do not think it is a cpu issue.

I ended up by returning the motherboard as DOA, I should have a new one next week...

However any tip would be greatful.

Yeah, it does have the smell of a DOA... let us know how the new one is working!

Sounds like both a PSU and case power switch issue. Those touch power buttons on the CM cases with ATX pass-through don't work with a variety of boards. Try a different PSU just to check the board is still operational. As for the case power switch, unless CM have a workaround, I think you'll just have to accept its not going to work with the board.
