Im running 0804 with everything on auto. As far as I can remember the shipping bios showed the vga at x16 as well. Never was an issue on my mobo. I do know if you have anything plugged into the other 2 PCIe slots it will drop down to x8.

    Does CPU-Z report x16 or x8?

    Hi,
Hard to believe, but both MB and VGA were faulty. Swapped MB with Maximus V Extreme and video card with EVGA GTX 680 SC. Now everything is working perfectly.
