Hi all i am having another major head fit.
I have done a clean install and am having some issues with the good old BSOD 😞
I have updated all my drivers, and have checked and re checked all hardware.
I have had some issues with Microsoft security essentials in the from of the Microsoft Security Client OOBE failing
But i think i've 'cured that' now im getting BSOD i would attach a mini dumo but i am getting i don't have read permission along contact admin even though i have taken ownership of it >.< ..in short microsoft suck here is what i can provide

Extreme 4, FX 4170, 5870 eyefinity6, 8 GB (2x4GB) vengance 1600Mhz NO OC

Please do a clean install of your network drivers, and or disable them and see if the problem goes away.

thanks for the replys i have done the intel network drivers and not had any issues yet!
Also what should i use to thouroughly test ram. Memtest86 or similar ?

PM DaemonCantor - He just finished fixing this exact issue -- to do with catylst drivers.. ect.
(You may have to do a Win7 re-install and back the drivers to 12.1 .. he can give you the

Wow really? i just had another BSOD and looking at event viewer points to the microsoft securtiy client oobe i will attach a screen shot.
Also i have ever so much fun with catalyst driver ever since i had this bored 😕
will still test ram anyway!

Yes good idea.
Sorry also, I just noticed that this is a IV Extreme, a moment of silence in memory of my flashing red orb.
With the FX bios ? Delicious.
Definately set the bios to the ram .. docp to 'that' rams profile .. and then scroll down to memory and
set to T2 and [read to read] to 5.
Also... what were you doing ? streaming video by chance ?
There was also an issue with the NIC driver .. first go to intel and get the update, if that brings no joy,
roll the driver back to a few months after the IV was released. (sorry I dont recall the exact version..
but it is in my early posts somewhere when I found the solution to much the same problem.)
keep us posted................

++Viz .. caught that on the second post .. (this may be it .. it drove me nuts for a month.)

Yeah i got a new one for £75 had to have a go ....Ah can you get some a screen shota by anychance? or will resulting the manual be sufficient to set with the numbers/specifics? I was just about to stream video on a site but when it was loading up the video list with pictures, it BSOD me. Then i rebooted went to event viewer to find that the OOBE issue all over again, i did 2 clean installs cause of that punk in 48 hours now this 😞

I have wiped the NIC and installed a new (updated and fresh download) of the one i had but i will look for an older one now and report back And just done a update >.< to the security essentials to the 4.0 here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5201
Which should cure the OOBE...i hope also thanks for the help guys 😄

right then i have noticed this during the driver old and newest. only the top 2 selections can be installed..what is the SNMP about/
