when are they coming out with one? I'll be on top of it because it isn't a bad looking laptop but the Gpu turns me off right now =(

anyone know if the 7970m is coming to the G series or laptops ?

I don't think it ever will :(. The 7970M generates so much heat that I doubt ASUS wants the drop in battery life and increase in noise output of the notebook. Their battery life is bad enough as is. Still, maybe they should on the G75, since the original G73 had the equivalent (At the time) GPU: 5870M

I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Since MSI will have one, maybe Asus will as well. But MSI is going all AMD, I'm not sure Asus will do this. Also 7970M I think still has software problems that are not very easy to fix.

Everybody need to know that Asus is mainstream gaming laptop. It isn't highend laptop like MSI, Dell. It won't be able to use high end GPU because Asus has always made base on the "cool and silence."

Yea, I confirmed that someone did modding to put a 7970m into G73JH. However, I doubt it will occur many of technical issues, plus it won't be able to get any A/S from ASUS. FInally, it contains a warning of using if you use modding G73JH. Some people might try to put a 7970M into g73jh, but I don't know if they had a trouble while they are using it. They won't be able to even ask to any one because nobody know an answer about modding laptop.

But i dont see something about g75 ... In g73 they have some problem with heating gpu and as i remember they dont have space and make

Why buy a 1400$ machine to chop it off with an expensive 7970M GPU, when you can get another laptop with the same GPU at 1500$? For 2k you can get 680M.

How do you guys consider this? Since G75 was not tested with 7970M, you cannot expect same level of cool&quiet. So what is the reason? 7970M still has poor software management.
