I'm thinking of using this ram in my new Maximus V Extreme board. What do you think?

Although not listed in the list of tests, however, it should be no problem.
Please remember to update the bios to the latest version.

Lotek: that is a really sweet kit! It was designed for the Z77 platform, so yes, it should work fine.

bikeman@Asus: I saw several times that you're suggesting to upgrade the BIOS... I knew as basic rule that should not touch BIOS until there is no problem with it... What would be the gain in this case from upgrading the BIOS to the latest version? Are there any known issues with this mobo and the Corsair's Platinums?

Hi all,
I am currently running two Dominator Platinum sticks (2x8GB) 1866 9-9-9-27 on my new build. Popped them in, booted up with no issues whatsoever. Reading up on XMP profiles so I can o/c them. Can't wait for the red lights addon...
