Astro a50 + Phoebus optical stuttering

So my optical port on the Phoebus causes stuttering to such a huge degree on my Astro a50s that I can't even use them. The only fix I've found is that if I change the sample rate to 44.1khz then everything works fine (16 and 24bit makes no difference). No other sample rate works without stuttering. I've tried two different cables and still the same result. The headset works fine on every other device I've used the Astros with.

Am I missing something? Is this a driver issue? Any help would be much appreciated!!

(Yes, my Astro a50s are upgraded to the latest firmware as is my Phoebus (beta 7.20))

Same thing happened to me. Whenever I enabled DDL and played a game, the audio would skip like crazy. Luckily, I had a Xonar U3 lying around that one worked perfectly fine. From what I have read on this forum, something is up with the way the Phoebus handles audio over the optical connection. I don't have my A50s right now since I had to sent them back for repair on other issues.

Guess we have to wait for another driver update 😛
