    G53JW-1 Raid possible?

    Hello everybody,

I bought a hard drive caddy on the Asus website for my G53JW-1 along with the OEM matching HD on new egg (750GB 7200rpm Seagate) with the dream of stripe raiding my laptop, is it true that Raid cannot be done on the G53JW?

If so do we know why since according to Intel Raid is supported on the HM55 chipset.

    I have the 211 Bios.

    Thanks

According to Intel, RAID is NOT supported on HM55 chipset. See docs.

Correct, the HM55 chipset does not support RAID. The alternative is to install a SSD as your boot drive.
