G60vx max ram supported and quad cpu support?

I want to know what the max ram that this motherboard supports. Also, I want to know if the Intel QX9300 quad core cpu is supported as well. I'm looking to do those two upgrades very soon, so any quick responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have heard something to that effect, though I cannot guarantee it. Something about the BestBuy version can't take the Quad Core CPU, but the others can. Max Ram, I think it would be 8 GB because of the CPU generation.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Hmm, well they're a little too pricey to take a chance on. Would you happen to know what's the fastest processor this notebook can take for sure?

I just checked eBay and the Intel Q9000 is going for ~$75. As for the memory, 8GB is the maximum allowed.

Okay so I've done some research and it looks like the g60vx-RBBX05(best buy version) does not support quad core cpu's. How can I tell if my g60vx is the rbbx05?

Where did you buy it? What is on the palm sticker? Also check the label on the under-side of your notebook.

I bought it from a guy. He also bought it from another guy. The only palmrest stickers I have are the EAX Advanced HD 4.0, Nvidia GTX 260M, Inel Centrino 2, and Windows 7. The bottom only says g60vx, and a long alphanumeric number, 03N0ASKRR796214D.
