Hello, Board Members,
initially a warm hello to all ROGS. Have an Asus motherboard (Crosshair Formula IV) with latest BIOS (3027) and not enter the specified IOPS (Magician 3.1) with my new Samsung SSD 830, 128MB.
Write and read values OK (320/520). Access speed but (15000/55000), but should be up to 30.000/80.000 ... The high read and write values speak for a SATA3 interface, although I miss an entry at boot time ... Speed of the PC also OK with 4x4 GHz and 8GB RAM. Have the values on a Windows 7/64 Ultimate and a Windows RTM measured 8/64 - virtually ident first I thought it is because of the new drivers for W7 W8 but showed the same result. Tried with ASUS support to clarify any questions, however, have all the possible sources of error (BIOS update, chipset, AHCI, SATA Interface) checked and updated - no change.
Do you have any idea what could have cause this? I am surprised that at startup, only one SATA host controller is specified and no SATA3. But then yes, would also have a SATA2 Schreib-/Lesewerte match and that is definitely not the case. Only meet the IOPS SATA2.
Thanks in advance.
Best, Rudolf
