GTX 690 Assassin's Creed Revelations Lag

Hi this in probably a noob question but I'm just wondering why my gtx 690 happens to lag in assassins creed revelations in ultra-high settings when I go to crowded places or near water?

But when I disable dual-GPU mode in Nvidia Control Panel it works very smoothly in ultra-high settings even if I go to crowded places and near water It won't lag a bit. I'm just curios why, I'm not very familiar yet with how this stuff works. Any answer is appreciated. Thanks.

Assassin Creed Revelation need allot of optimization, I even have allot of trouble with my system, when I passed the recommend settings as well. I heard the new update of AC:R fixed it, but I still have problems with it.

Certain games are poorly optimized for NVIDIA's SLI, this would explain what you are seeing. The only thing I can suggest is making sure both the game and your NVIDIA drivers are up to date.
