K53SV - Boot from SD card?

    Hi,
my new laptop Asus K53SV has a card reader but the problem is that I can't find any option to boot from my SD card (with linux installed) in the BIOS.
Is there a way to boot from sdcard?
    Thank you in advance!
    Carlo.

Hmm. You could either try booting from USB and seeing if it detects it (I'd imagine it should, as card readers typically show up as generic Mass Storage Devices). Otherwise, you could always try a generic USB SD card reader, though nowadays it might just be cheaper to get a USB thumbdrive.
