G75vw dead pixels after ~3 months!

So I'm actually really pissed off about this right now. Just noticed that I have some dead pixels in my screen of my G75VW-BBK5. It's obviously been more than the 30 day period. I didn't think to check when I bought it/didn't notice. This is my second ASUS laptop, I've always recommended them...my parents have them because I insisted that ASUS is superior quality....yeah...not so sure any more. I'm on hold waiting for Best Buy to pick up, hoping their 2 year warranty that I purchased will get me a new one...this is Bogus.....

If I do get a new one I have a special setup right now with my SSD bearing the OS install and my HDD with my photos and documents and games etc...

I'm hoping to just swap it out minus the drives... does that make sense? Should I just back it up and re do all the special stuff I'd done to reduce writes to the SSD? (I know my current HDD works *knock on wood* and I'd rather not add another variable like a new HDD that could be DOA)

Has anyone else had dead pixel issues with this screen?

Would you believe no one has ever reported such an issue?

You should give @Underseaboat a call : http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?22063-G74sx-funny-story-time&highlight=Fonz

Seriously - I recommend you determine if the pixels are truly "dead" or just "stuck". If the latter, try the software remedy.

It sounds like you are a good Best Buy customer, having purchased multiple computers from them. They may work with you to keep you that way. I'd definitely try to work something out...
