Thumbs up Dont try on g74sx

Okay, so have anyone else used the G74SX bios mentioned in OP?
because those just bricked my pc. Powerbutton does nothing now...

Moved to usb-stick, EF says its uncool since the target platform info etc was not in the house. I trusted the sticky thread and ****. Progress bar, Power off, Nothing happens....

I do not trust anyone's modded BIOS, mine works, so I don't touch it. Now if I had problems, I would consider upgrading to a newer BIOS sanctioned by ASUS, but they have not released one for almost a year.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Now i had problems, and i trusted the author due to the feedback. Seems like i ****ed it up myself by installing it from a USB-stick that was inserted in a USB3.0...

It sure has been a long while since any of the Asus staff has posted in this thread.. It appears they had no luck in getting the R&D folks motivated.

I am not surprised, the G73/53SW is an older system. ASUS engineers have only a finite amount of time, so they cannot do everything. They are likely focused on the G75/G55 or its successor. The SW systems are likely going away, and since the fix is probably not easy to certify, they will not produce a patch.

I just bough the G53SW a couple of days back which is super pristine and most importantly still under warranty. So i dropped them a technical inquiry using ASUS self help web page. I'm interested to see their response.

Reboot your machine and try Fn+F3, then press and hold Fn+F4.

I have seen that with LINUX that the keyboard lights turn off when the computer sleeps and do not come back on automatically when the computer is woken up. The moment you press the key combination to dim the lights they come on. Go figure.

    thank you!

I was asking for help about my FPS fluctuation abnormality of my G74Sx-3De
I was getting higher FPS yet, always fluctuating to 10FPS
    and I found this miracle.

1st I used the ThrotleStop which is also Legit.
    though it is temporary.
and I tried your Permanent Fix
and it works like a Charm.
