Hello Everyone,
I am new to the community, so please excuse if I post this in wrong forum.
I have a Maximus V Gene and I am buying Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset. My question is, whether I need to buy a sound card for head phones to work or does the current motherboard audio drivers enough?
Hi mate welcome to ROG.Forums, I have a Maximus V Gene, The On board audio is great and is 7.1, I would get your headset first and see how it goes, I think you'll be happy with the on board, If not you can always get a audio card later.
I agree with Nackers. The Maximus V Gene already comes with excellent onboard audio (SupremeFX III). If you do decide for a sound card, Asus makes some nice ones too. 😄
