Kind of one of those personal things. It can save a little power at the expense of performance. On a gaming laptop, which is probably on AC power 99% of the time anyway, probably not worth having it enabled, but I can certainly see the benefit to people with non-ROG systems.

Remember to aim the wheels into the curb, put it in park, and set the e-brake. 😉 I'd leave it alone, probably won't gain you that much performance anyway.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

well i decide to give it a try and it does seem to quicken it a little.

with out a proper test this is just my feeling of taking parking off.

i did leave it on for battery power so its still there just not when on ac power

I always unpark my cores. I play a few games that are very cpu heavy and i can tell you it does give you a good boost in frame rates.

As someone who uses multi cores for rendering CGI unparking my cores is mandatory.

I always unpark my cores. There is a boost in temp and power usage, but why would I want to pay top dollar for a multi core processor then install an OS that decided I shouldn't be using all my hardware for me. I never liked the idea of it... If I wanted less cores I would pay for less cores.

I understand now. I want to keep the power consumption (the heat) down, so I'll leave it on...not to mention I didn't know about it.
