Buy a 3570k instead of a 3770k and buy yourself a gtx 680. for 100$ you can get the h100 instead of the Thermaltake, h100 dominates the close loop market. Don't get Home premium, get either win 7 prof or ultimate or get windows 8

Why not HP? Premium does everything a gamer needs. The only time people here run into an issue is when they try to stuff more than 16GB because Premium won't support it. But for gaming 16GB is more than you'll use anyway so it's not really a deal breaker.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Ok, so ditch the sound card and go with a ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard? I wasn't too sure about a sound card anyway since I don't use a surrond system or anything. I wasn't really planning on running SLI right now but should I get a more powerful PSU in case I decide to do that at some point? And after looking at the CPU coolers, the CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 looks to be far superior to the Thermaltake one.

if you are a gamer, SLI/CF is the single most cost effective way to improve your in-game experience. This should be one of your primary concerns when building a system (along with monitor setup)
How many cards will you put into the system initially?
*will you replace these cards over time or add new cards as they decrease in price?
*will your motherboard/cpu support your desired end state (3-way and 4-way SLI are not possible on the maximus V formula for example)
*do you have enough power to support your cpu and SLI'd cards?
*do you intend to overclock your cpu or graphics?
*do you want a future proof system that can handle the next generation of games without needing to upgrade?
*how much of your machine do you expect to 'migrate' into your next build?

Answering these questions first will guide the rest of your build decisions as far as platform (cpu, motherboard, ram, and cooling)
Motherboard Asus ROG Rampage IV Formula x79
CPU Intel i7 4820k Ivy Bridge-E @ 4.6ghz
GPU(s) 3 WAY SLI -- EVGA GTX 680 SC Signature (2GB)
Displays 5140x1050 @ 120hz using 3 x Samsung 2233RZ
RAM 16 GB 2133mhz G.Skill RipJaws Z
PSU LEPA G Series G1600-MA
Case Cooler Master Cosmos II Ultra
Storage Vertex 3 256 (Games), Intel 320 Series 128 (OS), + 4TB HDD

I'm trying to stay under $3000

Those are some nice specs. You should be good to go.

Just some personal recommendations. 😛

Mobo: I'd get the Asus Maximus V Formula. It has a nice onboard sound chip. That way you won't need to get an external sound card. You can try and test it yourself. Further down the road you can get the external one if the onboard audio doesn't suffice your needs.

PSU: If you're not planning to do any Sli or 3 way sli, 850w is more than enough for you. But if you do, then I'd get a bigger PSU like Corsair's AX1200.

Cooling: Definately get a better Closed Loop Liquid system like Krindor suggested. You can opt for the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme or the Corsair H100.

Yeah I was thinking about the limit on ram but as you say 16gb is enough. But I would suggest to get win 8 anyway as it's cheaper and faster 😄

Let's look at the dilemma using numbers. For a normal GTX 670 (not OC), you can do 2x SLI with a 700w. For 3x SLI, you need a 850w. These are the minimum required and we're not taking into consideration CPU overclocking. I haven't looked up the Galaxy card you want but from the title it's an OCed version of the GTX 670. 😛 But we can safely assume that the Silverstone PSU can do 2x SLI, if needed.

The GTX670 is a powerful card. I don't know what kind of games you like to play. But for laughs sake: Can it run Crysis 2? A stock GTX 670 can run Crysis 2 on ultra settings @ 1080p and still achieve 60 playable fps. 😛
