Warning! Bios 214 for G55.

The 214 bios for the G55 series is very unstable. It will cause BSODs with the latest NVIDIA Beta driver and i noticed a slight drop in FPS with the 306.xx drivers. I had to revert back to the 209 bios in order to get stability back.

Good thing you could do that. Not very easy with Asus.

I got burned once with G75.

there are 2 ways to do that. be very careful with this. if you are not sure, it's best if you asked someone with experience to help.

Yeah how did he revert back to 209 though? Or did he just go to 206 then update to 209?

It's actually not that painful. In my case my graphics card drivers were causing the BSOD so just make sure to boot into safe mode and to uninstall the drivers first. Then boot into Windows and install the bios update utility for your notebook from Asus website and follow these instructions.
