My PC is running most of the time anyway, could bitcoin mining still raise my electric bill? Also, is there a website or something where I could go and see what my hardware can generate?
    Asus ROG ftw!!

Can you loan me ur rig for a few weeks so I can afford a rig like that myself? =) i only have nvidia, and nvidia will not produce anywhere near profit or yet alone breaking even :-\. Yay for being jobless atm.

I think asus should give everyone some Gpu's to bit mine on, and make us pay a monthly fee of 50-100$ to pay off the cards, with a 20% Interest. =) Just my thought hehehe. Cause profits from that also will help afford new rigs and get us more folding rigs too and make asus #1 for FAH. Cmon asus you know you love this idea =).

I was just going to ask about it. I read that one of the exchanges got hacked and the price of bit coins tanked.

I was always considering using my hardware to generate cash so that I could invest into another rig. Meh.

That's too bad. I wasn't a fan of the speculative nature in this phase but it would have been nice to see a new currency arise. I wonder if it can still recover?

doubtful, this is a none tangible community and thus normal rules of economics do not apply.

I will be surprised if this ever recovers.

the exchange is back up, security features prevented any hackers from making a profit. the problem was one user of the exchange had his account compromised and the hacker sold off all his BTC for 1cent each so he could try to buy them back up cheap.... it didnt work well....

After a big hit like that the market went back up to $18.00 and is sitting stable at $17.00

    Live market prices available here:http://mtgoxlive.com/orders

I would say this shows a strong and resiliant economy for Bitcoins
