I think you also could use the universal vga block (EK) (not fullcover), and some motherboard mosfet blocks (for the gpus vrm), very easy to create brackets, the holes in the pcb is close to the vrms..

You will have to find mosfet blocks, that fit the card..

Its some work involved yes, and might not not be fancy looking..

    But you get the idea?

If you pull this off, i think you would get some major cooling, and overclocking headroom..

    just a thought..

    FItment?

I have two of the Matrix 7970's in crossfire and i need to water cool them bad, since they sit very close to each other with the ASUS Maximus V formula board, using slot_1 & slot_2 the top one runs very hot and reaches 100c at full load, i was looking at the EK water block for the ASUS HD7970 CU II , and they are very similar in design, do you think that the EK HD7970 CU II Full VGA water block will fit the Matrix? and does anyone know if any full VGA water blocks will be made for the Matrix? EK's website says that they have no plans on making them? any help will be appreciated!

no WB for the matrix cards, look on EK's compatiblity list and see your self.
they have no plans about making WB for those cards.
and the DCII's are custom made.
and if you want to be 100% shure if its the same as enny other 7970DCII you have to ask one of the @asus persons.

No, I don't have buy from this company. Its only a one man company.

But EK Waterblocks will produce it too. And thats better I think.
