G74SX-BBK GTX-560M and 2560x1440 monitor

I'm a bit confused about the graphics chip in the G74SX Best Buy laptop and the new 27+ inch 2560x1440 LCD monitors.

Is it correct that the HDMI port is 1.4 compliant and with the proper cable I would be able to get the full resolution from the 2560x1440 screen?

I have not found a definative answer since the G74s don't have DVI or displayport adapters.

Anyone got a 27+ inch monitor at full res run by a GTX-560M and a G74SX-BBK?

Thanks.

About G74SX max resolution sepc supported 1920X1080
so,we doesn't suggest used with inch 2560x1440 LCD monitors

G74SX detail product information form ASUS website reference to you:
http://www.asus.com/ROG/G74SX/#specifications

The link you gave is dead.

I see that G73's are running 2560x1440, and the 560M chipset is also capable of that resolution, as is HDMI 1.4 cables.

So, are you just repeating the specs or do you ACTUALLY KNOW if the G74SX will run a 26+ 2560x1440 display?

Also any chip supporting 3D must also support the HDMI 1.4 spec, which one would conclude means that it also supports the 2560x1440 resolution.

Is there any way to verify this.... simply repeating marketing materials is not very helpful.
