    Question UEFI on G74SX

Is there a way to activate UEFI on G74SX ? Since there is an option in bios, there must be a way.

There should be a setting on the "Boot" tab to enable UEFI boot. Turn it on and then you can re-install your operating systems and programs.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

I don't know how you got the impression that I needed an OS reinstallation from my post O.o. UEFI is a shell which sits on BIOS. It's just a User Interface where you can use your mouse for BIOS settings.

I tried booting up the UEFI, but nothing happened. Computer still boots Windows 7.

    -.- Dude,

If U want to change system to UEFI, u must have to Reinstall windows, otherwise, it will not work.
UEFI is a boot mode, it only works after installation.

That is correct. UEFI is not a shell that sits on top of the BIOS, it is a completely different way of having the operating system access the computer's resources. In fact, the BIOS capability is a backwards-compatible emulation on UEFI systems to allow older operating systems to install and boot.
