    You don't need to know your windows 8 key to install clean install from an oem / retail / msdn disc since the key is stored digitally inside the hardware. Windows 8 installation automatically gets the key and installs the proper version of windows 8. Windows 8 dvd (oem/retail/msdn) contains both versions (normal & pro) and the installation chooses the right version depending on the key. Only enterprise version is different, for enterprise you need a different installation dvd & key.

    That is good news but how do I download an installation ISO disc of win8?

    I'd like to upgrade to a SSD for my OS/programs soon.
