To all engineers, Is This Mod effective for G60VX?

I have read the post listed below.. Is that effective in solving the heat for the GPU and CPU? as i go to different forums, i have read that by doing this, the motherboard will sacrifice because the air wont circulate properly. is that true? pls tell me how to fix this problem on overheating GPU and CPU for G60VX..

It should help because it gives more airflow. I cannot guarantee that it will help, although I can say that if the warranty is out, it may be worth an attempt as opposed to buying a new computer. Prior to cutting open the computer, if the warranty is void, try repasting, over time the thermal grease hardens and does not conduct heat as effectively. Arctic Silver/Arctic Diamond are recommended based upon what I hear in the desktop section.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Sir, applying new thermal paste/grease, how long will it last? will it last for a year? or months?

Should be years. Sometimes the initial application is lousy. Also, if you choose to do this, make sure to give those fans a good cleaning! Try cleaning fans first. If you smoke or have pets, you'd be amazed at how grimy the heatsinks will be.

don't own a G60, so my G74 values won't be accurate..... hopefully someone with a G60 can post some values for you........ clean your fans, heatsinks, and repaste.... pretty much the most you can do on a laptop... good luck
