Painting a Case Camouflage

Black4

Given the popularity of fps military games, I suspect someone else has custom-painted a case camouflage.

I'd consider painting a green or white Corsair Vengeance C70 case camo woodland or winter camo, if I could get a clean and durable paint finish from it.

Anyone know of any techniques for painting camo that I could apply to this case?

Hi, the one you show on the pic have a very distinct edge between the colour, it can be done with a stencil and a spray can. But usually camouflage have a more cloud edge look, in that case you need a dual action airbrush to make those kind of fuzzy edges between colours. Painting with an airbrush need a lot of practice, I will suggest to deal with someone who do this king of work.

This is great feedback guys, and thanks for the links. I especially like the overall look of the BF3 tribute case. These modders are incredible.

There are Mod'r's of all flavors here .. another is pcJunkie209 .. not to leave anyone out .. they are
all so awesome .. go peeking .. 'they' don't mind .. hahahhahaa ..

That's an awesome case design! 🙂 Post pics when you get it done! 🙂 My advice would be stencils if you want the clean edges. If you create the design on the computer and print each piece out on a separate piece of paper and cut it out, you could get some nice clean lines.

Go for a Winter Cammo look, haven't seen a build with that color scheme yet and to me, the standard cammo green is just so over done 😛

At a first glance, it doesn't look like a CPU case.. It looks like one of the military's things.

I always thought that the perfect camo would be to Mod the System around the
'desk environment' (perferably a corner) .. taking a pic of the 'desk' with and without
the system .. then paint the 'system' to match the 'placement in the pic without' ..
if you follow my 'drift' .. matching the entrance/doorway 'first view' angle ....
only when you move off center will you see the system (other than the blackness of the monitor screen)
with a little '3D'n' imagination .. the side angles could be 'duplicated ..maybe spinning like infinity mirrors'..
hahaha ...

i know this misses the point of camo as in a combat game ... but its sys camo ..
sorry .. was just typ'n out loud ..c.

For the paint, you can use a decent acryllic paint, then use a mat varnish to protect it, my nephew has just done the side panel on my pc and its great.
