Greetings all

I got a SSD samsung 840 - 250GB. Wanted to install it on my second bay. Everything looked fine, but when turned on PC neither setup or windows could not detect my SSD. So I opened her up again, and saw my FFC cable had been fried.

First, I wanted to know what can cause that? is it possible that something else also has been damaged?
Second, I can't get my hand on a new FFC cable from ASUS (working overseas). But I do have another one but it's 60v (instead of original 30v) but everything else is the same. Can I try that one?

Really appreciate the help.

hi, could you make sure what is your NB warranty? global or local warranty and IW or OW? also connect to your local ASUS service center first.
