Hi,

Biggest difference are the screen sizes (Digit after "G" --> 17", 15", 14").

i believe they are different models. The G75 is 17 inch with 670M or 660M, G55 is 15inch with 660M and G45 is 14inch.

In regards to performance, they have exactly the same features? What's the most recommendable model to a new user?

They have very different features and within each model (G##) there are unique models that you can get, e.g. there are 3D and non-3D versions of the G75VW. If you want gaming, get the G75 because it had incredibly good cooling. From what I've heard the G55 is not designed as well for cooling. The G46 isn't (from what I've heard) as powerful as the G75.

Hope that helps!

I'll seriously take G75 into consideration

The newest G75's have the 670MX, which is the same generation as the 660M. The 670M is a rebadged 570M - thanks, nVidia, for the perfectly confusing naming scheme. I would recommend getting either the G55 or G75, since they have the 1080p panels, which I consider more important than the GPU.

The 660M runs cooler (and slower) than the 670M which runs hotter and slower than the 670MX

If you're interested in a G55VW that was purchased in June from Fry's I will sell you mine for a good price. Serial number is not registered with Asus yet so you could put it in your name. Comes with box and everything original.

But yeah, the main diffs are the screen sizes. Some of the newer G75s have a GTX670m instead of the 660m.
