So I am getting one of these for Christmas, and I was wondering if it could run these game on medium with 40 plus fps?

On Medium?.Your question should be like "Can it run Ultra?" but well, yes it can run those games on medium.

I got it, and I'm running custom settings with high/ very high settings,even one of the options on ultra (not that relevant as far as I could remember since I'm no home right now...) at 1080p, getting 30 fps on average no problem...mild OC at 1085 core. I've yet to try at 1200 on the core. But yeah it'll run perfect at high...

I run smoothly far cry 3 at very high settings with post fx low, oc my gtx 660m at 1200 on the core. 😮

Dx11, with:
msaa off
alpha to coverage enhanced
ssao

you can search for post fx on google. It actually improve image quality lots.but gtx 660m can't handle it.
still waiting for a new NVidia driver. 🙂
