Hi,

I've been building systems for several years now but have never used ASUS before. So recently I built myself a system using the ROG X470 Crosshair Hero (see specs).

So far the system has run like a dream and i'm extremely impressed by the build quality of the ASUS board (former Gigabyte user).

Primarily I'm a gamer at heart and have been since the late eighties (old bugger).

At present i'm playing huge amounts of Warframe although cannot wait for the Metro Exodus..

I cut my teeth building my gaming PC's back in college (early 00's) when it was all about budget and bang for the buck at least for me. Over the years I have been constantly building and upgrading my gaming PC and helping others. Last year I dove into custom water cooling as it was always something I wished to do in college when Danger Den was about the only company I knew making things.

Since I built the first loop it has been torn apart and rebuilt probably 3 or 4 times now as I added/removed the GPU after I killed it somehow and then switched cases and moved from Kaby Lake to Coffee Lake.

My next challenge will be exotic cooling and benchmarking for fun.

Hello all I built my first pc in around 1995 for myself and have uses asus since except one build lol that broke. Built my first water cooled loop 5 or so years ago on my my newest one, always learning and still having fun.

My name is Soulshine but most people call me Giggles. I am not a techy person at all. Seriously, Just reading some of the posts here is intimidating to me. I have played a few games GW2 and LOTRO. But have not played anything in a very long time. I joined the forum so i could try and learn a little more about my computer. Im sure it has so much potential. So i will sit back and keep reading. I could not figure out how to edit my system in the profile settings (<---See total Nooberster) so here is what i've got. The box says ROG StrixGaming Notebook Scar Edition. And it came with Matching Gaming mouse. Let me say in advance, Thank you for letting me be a sponge!!
