Hi my name's Dave, new to ROG. My last laptop was a Dell Inspiron from the last century. I'm very pleased with this Strix II. Well, except for an overheating issue, which is how I found this forum. Followed some guidance and opened her up to replace paste with pads and applied liquid metal on CPU & GPU. Hopefully now I'll be able to post in other threads as I do have some questions for the community.

My name is Leopa and I got my dads old gaming laptop (he used to use it for CAD) a couple of years ago.
It's a G74S and I have been pretty happy with it until recently. I came to realize that it needs some major fixes if I want to keep up the game and that's the main reason why I have registered:

I do have a Lenovo for work and uni but I'd like to keep the ASUS for fun. It just needs some special attention I guess.
