I've been building custom computers since 2009. The first Build included ROG's original Crosshair Motherboard. I fell in love with it and other Asus products so I continued to build with only ROG parts (when avail). Later builds Included the Crosshair IV Extreme Motherboard with dual ROG Matrix Platinum Graphics cards. And now with The Crosshair V Formula-Z with dual ROG 1070 Strix cards.

I'm Definitely a Fanboy of the ROG product line!

Hello everyone my name is Mickey. Just got my first Asus ROG this week and am excited to join the community. If any one has some good tips for running on these gaming notebook I would love to hear them. I got the GL752-Vw, I7 6700hq, GTX 960m, with 16GB DDR4, 1TB hdd+128GB SSD. and the main reason I'm curious is because it frim what I can tell so far I'm really not getting much better performance out of it then my old gaming laptop. which was MSI GE60 Apache Pro, i7 4700hq, GTX 765m, 12GB DDR3, and 750GB HDD. But that really just doesn't make much sense to me. BUt any thoughts would be apprichated.

Hello community!!!

I am part of Rog Community, but feeling dissapointed about it, not because of this forum but instead of what we all have in common Rog Laptop.

I purchased a GL771 JW, (i should had stayed in the bed that day), unfortunatley i feel really dissapointed not only with the product but also with the brand.
I think for me that a gaming laptop, as the brand associates, is for gaming, but i can assure you guys that is really not true in this case.
The brand uses its strong idea that their laptops are suitable for gaming but it doesnt happen with all their Rog products (like mine)
I will adress some of the problems i have with this bad design product:

1 - In a game situation, If the battery is under 40% ( plug in charger), you have crazy fps drops ( it can jump from 60 to 20);
2 - Keyboard in first month broke ESC key ( went to repair);
3 - Every game i play (BF4, Overwatch, World of Warcraft) always overheats - temperatures average 83
4 - They advertised that with this laptop you get the performance you need for games -but it is good to remember that when laptop overheats it throtles geting the cpu to work in 800mhz instead of 3,4 ghz, so literaly is like buying a Ferrari that has 1000 hp but you can only use 50hp because it cant handle....


I try everything to cooldown this laptop, when i say everything i really did. (cooling pad, thermal paste, software, underclock, limit fps, change resolution).

If you need a heater i advise you to buy this laptop if is for gaming better not.

Hey guys. My name is Patrick Baylon. I'm from PH. I just upgraded my rig to Skylake (too bad i did not wait for Kabylake but that's fine). I'm planning on upgrading rig parts specifically my CPU cooler and chasis and planning to buy a Corsair H100i V2 and NZXT S340 ELite respectively. I'm play a lot of Dota 2. Currently finished playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. Hoping to meet some gamers here.
