    Yes it is good sense to have good air flow, but all I am trying to get across is that you do not need to worry. Those temps are pretty normal if you do not have air flow and the closed loop water systems provide no air flow or cooling to the MB or chipset.
    Impressive OC! You have clearly demonstrated that the NB temps can go much higher than most other chips. That eases my mind. I have always had high NB temps with any 990 chip set I've worked with. I've gone as far as adding a small heatsink and fan or with the CHV I've added a 50mm Gelid 4k rpm fan, very quiet and really drops the NB temp.

    I would like to see more about the 7Ghz OC.
