Did you mean:

"Nvidia Driver has failed to respond but recovered"???

Hey everyone,

I've had my G53sw-A1 since Monday and it kicks ass -

BUT

Randomly today the screen went black for 4 seconds and turned back on and said something to the extent of:

"Nvidia driver has failed to respond but has recovered."

It did it again a little bit later and I'm getting a little worried. Has anyone had this issue before and know what to do?

Also - my backlight is off and can't seem to toggle it again - is there like a giant file I can download of all the Asus drivers to get my computer refreshed?

Much obliged

I think I've seen that message when recovering from sleep or screen saver so you might see if that coincides. However, if you've only had it for 4 days I would take it to the vendor and have them look at it. You'll want to make sure that they are at least aware of the problem so that it's easier to exchange if you decide that it is necessary.

My question is what were you doing on the laptop just before the error occurred?
