Return to vendor for one that works! did they work before you downgraded to win 7? Have you installed the ATK package?

My new refurbished Asus G75VX works quite well. Except for the fact that I cannot turn on the "light" under the keys.
It comes on for a brief second when the laptop is turned on and goes off never to be seen again, until the laptop is turned on again.
I bought the laptop because of the power, strength and features one of which are backlit keys.
