They would work for any X79 board.

Either that or could you post a tutorial on how to do ^that^? Like do you just insert that orom into any .cap bios update file for my motherboard with a program like Aptio or is it more complicated than that?

Edit: Apparently it is that simple, according to a how-to by fernando on win-lite.de. Can I just put the orom in the latest available bios version or do I have to use a certain build?

You just replace the OROM as per Fernando's guide. As long as you're using the patched versions (any of them) you're fine. If you use an unpatched OROM the system will not boot.

Ok thanks. I put your patched orom into a bios image for my p9x79 LE and it seems to be working on my new raid 0 array. I haven't done any testing yet but I will later.
    Thanks a lot!

My guides at win-lite.de are outdated and not supported by me anymore.
Users, who want to modify their mainboard BIOS themselves, should better join my new Forum at win-raid.com.

    HI All,

I had an issue with getting the rom to work, but came across this nifty utility on Fernando's site.

    http://www.win-raid.com/t154f16-Tool...-quot-UBU.html

Scans the CAP file, gives options for which rom to use, then hey presto. Worth a look....

Why is a mod required even with the latest Intel 4.3.x RSTe drivers?
