Hello guys,something happened strange,i couldn't find my blu-ray drive -not dis played in my computer,disk management etc.

Thought there may be some driver issues,driver genius tried to download and install 8 drivers,including intel chip set,real talk HD audio,but it couldn't fully!!

Asus live update says everything upto date.

Checked in windows 7 forum,they guy had the same issues solved by installing patch from sony(he own sony vaio).

Few other problems i have,

cracking sound appears,during music playback or video play back.

Fun+f3 and f4 not working to lit the keyboard
Fun+f10 and f11 volume increase decrease also not working

any ideas guys!!

it could be a simple problem.
if you have asus power4gear check the settings you may have un ticked or ticked the odd drive in the power options. this will disable the drive from working like in battery mode. so you can save power. first try changing the power states from high power to battery.

the keyboard issue might be due to drivers. its best if you could get the drivers from asus site instead of a third party program.

the drive may also be disabled in you bios........
