Asus G74SX - Wrong Memory installed from factory? Somethings fishy?

I just noticed using CPU-Z and HWINFO64, that it is reporting my 2 4GB Memory models as being PC3-10700 and not the DDR3 1333mhz that I assumed was installed in my Asus G74SX laptop?

According to the Asus website, it should come with DDR3 1333mhz Ram?

http://www.getprice.com.au/Asus-G74SX-FHD-TZ130V-Laptop.htm#more-details

It clearily shows it should have DDR3 1333mhz Ram in it.
Is this a mistake or have they cheaped out on my particular laptop model to save money? If so is it possible for me to go and buy some 1333mhz Ram and install it into my laptop?

Seems strange to me 😞

Thanks!

UPDATE

BTW here is a screenshot of the Memory Info:

Does this look like DDR3 1333mhz Ram to you? 😞

Just complain to support and they might give you what you paid for? 😛

So it should have DDR 3 1333mhz Ram in it? I hope the store where I bought it from hasn't been doing naughty switcheroo's, as it is my screen has a light dot on the top right of it which they refused to fix, now I have something else to complain to them about it seems!

PC3-10700 is the same thing as DDR3-1333. I know Wikipedia is often not the most reliable of sources, but when all someone has to do is copy and paste info from one website to another, it's pretty safe to take seriously.

Yeah thanks I realised this last night, I downloaded a program called Astra32 which showed DDR3 1333 or its other name PC3-10700 or some showed it as PC3-10600, I feel like a bit of a git considering I contacted Asus support, I hope its not the funniest thing they have had to respond too  😮 Why don't these programs use its most common name?

One other thing though, according to the Box I received my laptop in, it should come with a Blu-Ray RW, although there is only a Blu-Ray Reader installed in my laptop? Guess that is the next thing I can upgrade along with the Ram to 16GB.

One question for you guys before I have to make a new thread, is can I mix different Brand Memory Modules as long as they are the same speed, latency etc? According to Astra and Hwinfo, I have 2 X 4GB Samsung 1333mhz modules installed, however my local store doesn't sell Samsung RAM, they have Kingston, Corsair, and a few other brands? I don't want to go and buy the Ram and install it only to find my laptop won't Boot? It isn't the biggest issue in the world because RAM is so dirt cheap here atm, 2 X 4GB 1333mhz Ram Notebook modules cost 24 dollars each so thats 48 bucks! Also what happens to my Duel-Channel mode if I install another 2 Modules, does it stay Duel-channel as long as I don't mix the sizes?

Thanks again guys!
