Hey guys,
first of all im new here so go easy on the newb please.
I have the BestBuy version of the Asus G73JH. I recently bought an SSD to speed it up some and today i installed it.
My problem is that my secondary (originally the empty) bay does not work. I tried it with either drive a several times and neither of the drives is recognized in the bios.

Do i have to activate that second bay in any certain way before I can use it or i simply have some kind of a hardware flaw in my laptop?

Thanks

No, the 2nd bay should work. Have you tried with only a single drive in the 2nd bay and nothing in the first? Does the hard drive power up & spin at all?
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Check security settings to ensure that the second SATA channel is not disabled. Probably shouldn't be, but worth a check.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

By far this is the best machine I have ever owned. And I now use my G73 as a media center server for 55in Sony instead of a DVD player. I love this machine, btw it is smoother to operate than my new G75 is. IMO

Does your system (G75) have an SSD? That makes a world of difference. Might I humbly suggest you get one for the G75? 😄
