Silent Radiator Fans

Basically, sometime in the future i will be filling my cosmos 2 with 840mm worth or radiators and i need to decide which fans to put on them. But this thread should be an aid to people in the future to lets be constructive.

Obviously i had heard of Scythe Gentle Typhoons but i just want to know if now there are any new fans that are better.

Here are a couple of fans that i like the look of:

Cougar Vortex PWM - http://www.cougar-world.com/products/fans/vortex_pwm.html (no im not put off by the colour)

15348 15349

Scythe Gentle Typhoon - http://www.scythe-eu.com/produkte/luefter/gentle-typhoon-120-mm.html

15350 15351

thanks in advanced for any replies

I've been using the Cougars quite a bit lately - great fans ...
... the PWM 120mm does come in an all black version, as well as the version with the orange blade.
... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553006

Might consider the Noc NF-F12 PWM : http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=42&lng=en

But for the performance, sound levels, & the price (especially when the egg has a 20% off promo) ...
... the Cougars are tough to pass on ... 😉

i've heard that the Noctuas have an annoying whine when they are on full speed

I've read somewhere that the Gentle Typhoons will have a new one out soon, where they have changed the blades in such a way as to change the noise frequency (same decibels, noise less annoying)

Would like to find a test with those.

I filled my Cosmos 2 with Bitfenix 120mm Spectre Red led fans, run perfectly silent, are ok with the fancontroler where my Corsair SP/AF 120's weren't and they look nice 🙂 Oh and they are mounted on both my rad's and the case.
