    rad. size

Hey everyone, hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I was wondering if anyone knew if a 140 radiator with a push pull setup with no resivoir just pump and rad, would be enough to cool the onboard vrm cooler on my Asus Maximus 5 Formula board. I want to use my larger rads on other componets so had enough space left to mount a lone 140 with no res. if this will be enough. the cpu memory and graphics have other means of cooling so this is all thats left and I dont want to share one of my other loops.

the VRM dont get too hot unless you are OC'ing mutch i think.
i guess you could get a pump/res combo??
here is one option if your interested: http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g30/...mbo-Page1.html

About anything will do too cool only the VRM, actually you can use only push or pull, no need for both.

Reservoirs where made to make filling and bleeding easier, it's possible to have a loop without a res, but remember it will be much harder to fill the loop.

swiftech make rad with reservoir if you can fit a 120 mm, their model as the same barb size as the VRM Formula block
