audio pitch issues with phoebus card?

hi.

Bought an xonar phoebus about a week ago, card sounded very nice at first. but suddenly the audio startet pitching up and down at random. when i first noticed it i was using the spdif output. thought it was something wrong with the digital output, tried my 5.1 roccat kave headset, and same problem there. tried reinstalling drivers(though think it's weird that the latest drivers is from july, and is only an beta driver) tried switching pcie slot, tried playing sound with each and every enhancement and effect off and on and nothing seems to solve or make any change to my problem. sample rate at 44.1kHz and 16bit as i discovered changing sample rate also lowered the pitch. any ideas??

have now taken out the card and are currently using the onboard audio on my Rampage IV Extreme and no issues at all.

hope someone see this and thinks : ''you idiot just do this and that and problem solved'' 😉 or else i'll have to return the card and get a new one

Try the latest driver from here http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?15703-Xonar-Phoebus-Drivers-thread&country=&status= (last message), you'll have a firmware update with it. If it doesn't fix your problem, the card might be indeed faulty.
