CPU Temp 125C

I was stress testing my CPU i7-3970X at stock speeds

test runs for about 10 Minutes the stops , CPU TIN Overheat
with TEMP of 125C.

Cooler is H100 i have checked connection to CPU and all is good

What are you using to monitor TEMP?

odd, it should power off, if set to default.. if temp is 125c

check the alerts in probe..

mm chino, core temp is really good, and useful..

if the h100 is installed properly, and functioning like it should, you should not hit 125c, even if you override the cpu temp limit..

your current idle temp in probe?

Been watching it in OCCT and when it's in idle it hit 127C for not even as long as a second then dropping back down to 60C

Reboot.

go into bios

check temp monitor, it should show, if something is messed up.

And every 10mins or so I just get random spikes where it hits 127C for half a second then back to normal
