Can I use 4gb and 8gb 1333mzh RAM at the same time? G74sx

Thanks for all the help on my other thread, great community you guys have here!

I decided to go with 32gb for my G74sx. 4 RAM slots; I currently have 16gb (2 x 8gb) and was wondering if I would have any problems adding in 8gb more at (2 x 4gb) until my new order comes in?

If so is there anything I would need to change or reconfigure while running 2x4gb and 2x8gb at the same time or should I just plug them in and go?

Thanks again for the help!

i suggest you use same type and model at same time, but you want to use difference is ok.

Just plug them in and go, they should work fine. The key is that each pair needs to be matched for dual-channel to work properly. Even though the G74SX has four memory slots :), the mobo is still dual-channel, so each channel attaches to two memory slots. Matching speeds and timings is also a good idea, but if you aren't using fast and/or tight RAM, it shouldn't matter.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!
