Best watercooling

As a newbie in the field of OC I would be happy to get some advice about the best watercooling system for the rampage 4 extreme with the intel 3960 processor?!

Welcome to the forums..

Is this your first time trying to watercool? If yes, I'd recommend one of the high-end closed loop systems, like the Corsair H100i, which have been very well reviewed. They provide a lot of cooling power for the 2011 CPU's, don't cost the earth and don't have the associated risk that comes with building your fist water loop.

However, if you wanted to go down the custom route, something like the EK-KIT H30 240 HFX might be what you are after, as it comes with everything you'll need.

What case are you using? This will affect the size and thickness of radiator/fans you can fit in to cool the system.

The best watercooling parts are
Cpu block: Koolance cpu 380
Pump: D5 with XSPC top
Tubing: masterkleer or primoflex pro
Fittings: Bitspower or Monsoon
Radiator: Depending on how fast the fans are Alphacool nexxxos 30, UT60 or monsta. Where the 30 is for silent slow fans and monsta is for fast fans
Coolant: Distilled water with biocide

I picked these items purely based on performance.

In fact I am just a 58 year old with a passion for flightsimming (Prepar3D) and not at all into hardware. I let build the computer you see in my signature, and find with this kind of hardware it should be overclocked, but I will not construct it myself! D0n't worry! I just want to know what cooling system I should order!

I would recommend you to take part in the build, you´ll soon learn the tricks of the trade. I got into home built rigs because of flightsim.

Just my thoughts on WC. Water cooling systems are personal it's hard to find ones that looks the same (Unless it's from a kit). A tip for you is to check on different sites and look at the parts and see what you like. The performance difference isn't that big, maybe 1-2C difference between the latest generation of water blocks. Though depending on what you would like to overclock, if your budget allows it I would suggest you also have a look at water cooling the GPU as well as the NB and SB.

Yes I have in mind to watercool the GPU as well, but what is the NB and SB? (soory it's my english deficiency!)

Northern Bridge and Southern Bridge, It's where the VRM and Chipset is cooled.
It's not your English fault, unless you're a hardware geek it's hard to understand certain words, probably 95% of the population in England won't know of these either 😛

well i just did a quick googling on a noob help guide.

but IF its only the CPU you are interested to cool, the H100i is a good cooler, its a closed system whit 2 120 fan on it ( its a 240 rad ) whit a "corsair link" to your motherboard tru USB.
but if you want to go custom, it sadly will cost you a good deal of euros.
and the risk is there that you can damage parts when you start to dismantle the parts thats gona be watercooled. ( your waranty will not be valid enny more ).
