The Benchmark Club

There are countless posts questioning the performance of the G75; how it performs in newer titles, selected in-game settings, overclocked values.. etc.

You would be surprised how misinformed people are about the actual numbers the 660M/670M/670MX produce in these laptops. I've said this before but a lot of websites don't update these numbers, they just bench with the initial drivers. So as drivers further tweak and increase performance, so do their numbers. It can't be so black & white when it comes to benchmarking. We don't all play on just one graphical presetting or same drivers/OS/tweaks. This is where "The Benchmark Club" comes in.

We have enough people here that play various number of game titles, we should be sharing our results with others. This will show newcomers or existing users, what to expect from their system (could point out a problem as well.)

So without further adieu, it is time to start making a thread entirely based on this matter.

What I would like is for everyone to post there game list, in-game settings for each game, card temperature during games, core/mem clocks and FPS. You will need FRAPS to benchmark your min/max/avg FPS. Preferably a total of 3 minutes per game.

Exactly as shown

When you benchmark, your FPS counter will disappear (during your game when activated) and when benchmarking is over, your FPS counter will reappear indicating benching is complete. Go to your benchmarking folder and open "FRAPSLOG" with Notepad or alternative.

Record these numbers along with the rest of your results into the following order in your post like this.

Example

SYSTEM SPEC - Windows 7 Ultimate X64 / 3630QM / 16GB
--------------------------------------------------------

GPU: 660M @ 1175/2895 - Temp (71°C) - Driver version (310.70)

NVIDIA PANEL: Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings (Max. pre. frames "1" / Texture filtering "High Quality" / Threaded Optimization "On")

BATTLEFIELD 3 - Min: 35fps/ Max: 77fps / Avg: 52fps --------------------------------------------------------
GAME/SETTINGS: Battlefield 3 (Multiplayer "64p") @ 1920x1080 - VSync (Off) / FOV (77) - Custom (Ultra, High, Ultra, High, Ultra, High, Off, Off, Off, 16X, SSAO)
GAME TWEAKS: Battlefield 3 Settings Editor > Console Commands (Triple buffering "Unchecked" / DX Deferred CS Path "Unchecked" / Shadowmap resolution "512")

BORDERLANDS 2 - Min: 34fps / Max: 57fps / Avg: 41fps --------------------------------------------------------
GAME/SETTINGS:
Borderlands 2 (Singleplayer) @ 1920x1080 - VSync (Off) / FOV (90) - Custom (Unlimited, Off, High, Far, High, High, On, On, Off, Ultra High, Low)

HITMAN ABSOLUTION - Min: 38fps / Max: 62fps / Avg: 43fps --------------------------------------------------------
GAME/SETTINGS: Hitman Absolution (Singleplayer) @ 1920x1080 - VSync (Off) - Custom (Medium, High, 16X, Off, On, On, High, Off, High, Medium)
.......
.....
...

When more results come in I will then begin reviewing and constructing a graph. It will then be used for our benchmarking review/reviewers and will be updated accordingly to new interest.

It all depends on your support.

Thank-you

Thanks for sharing. what is tool do you used?

Yes, it is a lot of work to do for what seems like nothing in return, just presentational purposes it looks more like now. If there is no interest, there is no work to do.

Hey man some people might get curious as to what overclocks people have done and what usable settings there are with those games ... I happen to be one of those and why not show people what these babys can do haha... I'll be posting another one today for alan wake... if anyone has a game they'd like benchmarked ill see what i can do for it...

I was just wondering, this thread has been unopened for like 8 months now!
I guess no one was that interested!

But like chrsplmr said ,"Why not, Worthy effort.c."
