I have contracted that XP Security 2012 whatever virus. I cannot afford a cleaning so I'm opting to reformat it complete but I don't have an external CD drive. According to someone, I can d/l a torrent of WinXP Home Edition to my external HD and boot from there.

Is this true? I admit my ignorance in things hardware. My knowledge of things computer extends to only photoshop and html.
