Basically that post code is showing your system is not enabling the CPU. And with the CPU now controlling memory, USB and PCIe controllers it can be anything.

The trick now will be to use the bare minimum of kit. And please do try the H100 controller in the correct place, you can change the speed the pump works at and that should have some control on the noise level. So one stick of ram in your system only. Mouse and keyboard and VGA is about all we wish to have connected presently.

Right now lets focus on why your system is not booting up and worry about noise of fans or any similar stuff once we have that sorted..
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

That sounds like you might not have had the EATX12V_2 plug connected? Your board will not POST without it. You only need 4-pins there.

    Dell U2412m IPS 1920x1200; Cooler Master HAF 932 case; Tripp-Lite OMNIVS1500 UPS fully Line-interactive.
(EVGA site: ) And I have a second (wife's) computer, Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

What can we do? Is it the CPU that is the problem?

U guys are both running the latest BIOS version?
Cause at release of the R4E the 3970X wasnt out.
Could just be that the CPU isnt supported at current BIOS version.
