llias83< I assume that you are running a 64 bit OS, then why are you running the HPET disabled? With it disabled you are forcing the MB to basicly run in a 32bit mannor. Enable the HPET setting and you may well find that your system posts faster.

I tried to disable as many services as I could to make post faster, so I disabled HPET also.

Anyway the problem is not the time it takes to boot, but to hear the classic "beep" sound.
It takes approx 30sec to hear the sound seeing nothing but black screen until that.
After beep, OS boots very fast, aprox 10 sec.

old I have hpet disabled via O/S and bios and I no longer have noticeable input lag (ghosting). It all depends on the hardware/machine/tasks, probably et different results

I figured out that black slots (dimms #1 & #3) are better for OC on my M/B.
Probably manual refers to an older revision of this motherboard having red slots as dimms #1 & #3

So I have two remaining issues.

Most annoying of them is this very slow post.
Have to wait 30-32 seconds every time before I hear the speaker sound or see anything on screen.
After that it takes around 16 seconds to get to OS thanks to my Samsung 830 SSD.

    NB temps are remaining high.
I reduced temps after replacing thermal paste on NB.
Maximum temp now is around 52 C.

But still cannot overclock NB higher than 2500Mhz.

Ι update this thread as I figured out a way for posting faster.
I disconnected a USB Wi-Fi Adapter I had and disabled extra SATA controller.
Post now takers 11-12 seconds to hear the speaker sound and aprox. 30 sec totally to boot.

Still is a lot of time, don't you think?
