I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Asus' description with Bios updates. "Improve system stability", boy, my system must be incredibly stable after like 3 or 4 of those bios updates to improve stability. Maybe I can fire a rocket launcher at it and it'll stay working now? The point is, Asus' descriptions are lackluster, at best. How about "improve USB stability under conditions such as" or something of the like. Let us know what the hell it improves that way we know if MAYBE it'll fix something we had an issue with. Same applies with Maximus V Formula today.

So funny, I love it. Asus really should hire just one employee to do some quality writing for them would improve their communications with users a thousand fold and wouldn't hurt to polish things up for the new year. 🙂

Bios 1501 seemed worser to me than previous, best one is 0022 for subzero and air use too, will test 1604 following days and see...

Look forward to hearing from testers. I am on 1501 right now, and I do have a couple of issues, but don't know if this new BIOS is worthwhile. 😛

I will be testing its "improved stability" in following days ... so far I found 1501 to be sometimes corruptive (to CMOS settings) at POST and not so stable in OS when you fire up AIDA64 and leave it running in background LOL!

was about to go back to old good 704, but I guess will need to play with 1604 now ... absolutely hated 1309/1408/1501 ... will see how this one comes out ...

Amusingly enough, I had issues with previous bios and saving settings as well. This feels better. I just wish there was a more descriptive changelog than "stability"

interesting! just flashed it. right after booting to BIOS, loaded defaults (f5) and after reboot my SSD was not detected ... hmmm ... Cleared CMOS, again loaded optimized defaults and after restart all is good so far!

Also my daily 4.9GHz again (as on 704 BIOS) is fully stable with 0.175 offset while on darn 1501 it required 0.185 offset.

testing if it survives running AIDA64 in background over night.

pfffft ... left it idling with AIDA64 running in background and returned to it after 1 hour to find it restarted without any BSOD ... better than unexpected shutdowns with inability to power up on 1501 LOL, but still something not right ... I still vote 704 the best official BIOS so far.

can someone upload BIOS 022 to mediafire or share a working link? the links to it from Shamino's Lair in Kingpincooling are dead and the latest I could find over there was 021 (haven't tried it yet).

Any of the Asus' reps, can we get a detailed changelog? Also, can we look into doing a more detailed changelog on your website from now on? We're buying the Republic of Gamers products for a reason, and as such we're already a notch above the average user, on average. As such, I feel we should be fed more detailed information to help us get the best possible experience, as one thing that works for me, may not work for another, and vice-versa. We need the info to determine is the update is viable to us or not. I took a crapshoot on the latest bios and it helped me, but the next one may destroy how my PC runs, and I won't know unless I have the information. Thanks!
