General Linux Question

Hey All,

I don't know if this is the appropriate spot for this question, but I figured I would ask. I have a G74SX laptop that I dual boot Win 8 and Linux Mint KDE on. I was wondering if anyone has had luck getting the back lit keyboard to work on Linux Mint KDE 14? I had Ubuntu 12.04 installed a little while ago and the back lit keyboard worked great.

I've done a bunch of looking around, but have turned up mostly dead ends. Anyone had any success getting around this issue? Thanks!

Moved to notebook area since this is a notebook question.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Somebody put out a driver for the ASUS laptops, and the commands necessary to enable it are in the thread that @fostert linked to.

Thanks, @fostert! 🙂
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!
