Hi. i have my g73sw im not sure if its 3d enable or not. you see on the hand rest of the laptop there's a sticker that say its 3d ready. unlike the g73sw-3de it has a noticeable IR Emitter on the camera for the 3d. but on my machine it doesn't have that.
on the main OS it has the software for 3d enable and disable but whenever i tried to enable it nothing happen...
and btw what does a 1080p display means ? before i bought the machine it say that it can display up to 1080p of display ? and in my head its for the OS Display.
but the g73sw runs only in max 1600 x 900
i tried in diff games to have the 1080p display but none of the game i tested get a 1080p option...
can you or some of you explain it to me please... im a bit confused...
No its not 3d compatible alone, you could however plug it into a 3d television which would then enable you to use the 3d features thus, it saying 3d enabled.
also you can use stereoscopic 3d, aka red and blue. just go out and buy a pair of stereoscopic glasses and set it up via the nvidia control panel
17.3" 16:9 HD+ (1600x900)/Full HD (1920x1080)/Full HD 3D(1920x1080 120Hz) LED Backlight could be 3 different displays depends on witch variant you have
if yours is 1600x900 you could try 3D and 1080p on an external display you would need a 120hz 1920x1080 display and a 3d vision kit (glasses and emitter) plugged into the laptop so it can support HD and 3D on a external display
you need a 3D ready external LCD or TV that supports 1.4hdmi for 3D output. the 3D is not capable on the laptop screen unless you get the 3de model. the notebook itself is 3D capable with the right external hardware.
